Students and faculty in China and in some other locations around the world will need to take additional steps to access library resources.
Accessing library resources via VPN
You will need to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) in order to access any of the pages on The Claremont Colleges Library website. Please contact your campus IT department for more information about how to get VPN access.
Once the VPN is on, you will be able to authenticate using your campus credentials and access any of our library resources, including reading eBooks online and downloading pdfs that are Digital Rights Management (DRM)-free. If you wish to download an eBook that is DRM-protected, please see the How do I download books from EBSCOhost and ProQust FAQ. Many of the full-text books in the EBSCOhost eBooks and ProQuest eBooks platforms are DRM-protected.
If you are on VPN and still having issues accessing library resources, please contact us for further assistance.
