The Claremont Colleges Library provides access to the Los Angeles Times in two ways: individual online subscriptions and through our databases.
Individual LA Times Online Subscription
The Claremont Colleges Library now offers access to the Los Angeles Times online, which includes the News, Games, Recipes, Podcasts, and more from 1985 to the present. After setting up your account, you can access the Los Angeles Times content directly through the www.latimes.com site and their mobile app.
Please see out Instructions for Setting Up Your Account.
LA Times Database Access
The Claremont Colleges Library has access to the current Los Angeles Times (1985 to present) and historical Los Angeles Times (1881-1997), which are found in the library databases by filtering with All Formats > Newspapers & News Sources.
Library newspaper databases provide access to the current and historical print version of the publication. Current issues appear in plain text format, while older articles are PDF scans of the print version. These databases are primarily text-based, so you may not see photographs, blogs, charts, advertisements like you would from the newspaper website.
