Many of the items in S@C are preprints, or post-print final manuscripts. These are versions of articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals. Preprints and final manuscripts have the same content as the final version, but the formatting may look a little different from the published journal.

We recommend that our authors consult the SHERPA RoMEO website: (http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/index.html), which provides a summary of permissions that are normally given as part of each publisher's copyright transfer agreement. If the publisher prohibits submitting a journal article to the repository and will not grant an exception, the author may consider submitting a pre-publication copy. The Library can provide assistance on using the SHERPA RoMEO website. Please contact your Subject Librarian for assistance on using SHERPA RoMEO.
