Follow these steps to being searching the wide variety of historical and current news sources available with the library:

  1. Go to the library homepage at https://library.claremont.edu
  2. Click on the Databases link found under Library Search (search field on library homepage)
  3. Click on the All Formats drop down and select Newspapers and News Sources or search by the title of the periodical (example: Los Angeles Times).

  • Search by title: Open the newspaper database, for example, Los Angeles Times (current), then paste in the title of the article and select the Document Title - TITLE limiter.

  • Search by year: Open the newspaper database, for example the New York Times (current) then select the Publication Date limiter and click on search to view all articles available from that time period.
