All seven of the Claremont Colleges and the Claremont Colleges Services have implemented DUO. Any Claremont Colleges system/platform that requires you to first login via the Central Authentication Service (CAS) will require DUO authentication. This includes the library’s subscription databases of licensed content, as well as your Library Account and Resource Sharing (ILL) account, which includes your personal/confidential borrowing information.
Having two layers of authentication protects your accounts from remote attacks that may exploit stolen usernames and passwords. Security breaches based on compromised usernames and passwords have been on the increase, some as a result of phishing emails.
